Day 1 : Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges

Get ready because today we’re going to start the first day in this 5 days private desert tour from Marrakech This marrakech desert tours will start early in the morning by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Ticka pass (about 2260 meters altitude), through breath-taking landscapes and traditional Berber Villages. We will continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the ‘Gate of the Sahara’, where great expeditions started, and the also know as the ‘Moroccan Hollywood’. 

After lunch, we will continue along the famous ‘road of 1001 kasbahs’, until we reach our destination, Dades Gorges. Here you will enjoy beautiful Rock formations (called monkey feet) and fortified Kasbahs scenery along the Dadesriver. Dinner and overnight in a charming riad in Dades Gorges.

Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Desert)

After breakfast, we will leave the riad in Dades Gorges, heading to the Sahara Desert. On the way, we will see colourful Berber villages of the Dades Valley, until we reach the small oasis town of Tinghir, a beautiful Valley of date palms ending with spectacular Gorges, the dramatic Todra Gorges (the Todra river bed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty, the paradise of the climbers).

 We will stop to explore the canyons and have lunch. You will also enjoy an offroad drive around the dunes of Erg Chebbi and see the nomads living in tents in the desert and have tea with a nomad family. Dinner and accommodation in an hostel.

Day 4 : Merzouga (Desert) – Rissani – Draa Valley – Agdz – Ouarzazate (Desert)

After breakfast we will bid farewell to the desert, heading for the palm grove of Tafilalet, passing through the city of Rissani, birthplace of Morocco’s ruling royal family and the age-old capital of the Tafilalt region, famous for its traditional Souk and the dates market. 

Then we will drive towards Ouarzazate, crossing the Draa Valley (the longest river in Morocco), with its millions palm trees, the Berber village of Agdz until we reach our destination: Ouarzazate. The 4th day of 5 days private desert tour from Marrakech will be completed by a dinner and accommodation in a charming riad.

Day 5 : Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

On the last day of our 5 days private desert tour from Marrakech , after breakfast, we will leave the riad in Ouarzazate and continue towards the village of Ait Benhaddou and visit the magnificent Kasbah (fortress) classified as UNESCO world heritage site since 1987 and famous film production location (Gladiator, Game of Thrones).

 The guide will explain you the history of this magic place and will take you to the top of the hill to admire the beautiful views of the whole village. We will then start our journey back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’ Tichka pass, stopping along the way to have lunch. We will arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon.
