Day 1 : Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga (Desert)

The 4 day Fes to Marrakech private trip Departure will be from Fes to Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas and passing by the city of Ifrane (the Moroccan Switzerland) famous for its charming sky resort and almost perpetual snow. We will then continue towards Azrou, famous for its cedar forests and inhabited by monkeys that we can observe and feed. We will continue towards the south, crossing multiple Berber villages and arrive at Midelt for lunch.

After lunch we will drive to Erfoud, passing by Tizi N’Talghoumt, from where you can appreciate impressive panoramic views of the Middle Atlas. We will also cross the Gorges and Ziz Valley, and its desertic landscapes. Once we arrive to Erfoud, we will take an off-road route to reach the hotel near the dunes. There you will feel the peace and tranquillity of the desert and enjoy a spectacular sunset and a fascinating sky full of starts.

Day 2 : Merzouga (Desert) – Khamlia – Merzouga (Desert)

After breakfast, the 2nd day of 4 day Fes to Marrakech private trip begins where we’ll be exploring the neighboring villages of Merzouga such as Hassi Labied and the village of Khamlia (village of the Gnaoua), where you can hear the musicians from Mali. You will be able to enjoy an offroad drive around the dunes of Erg Chebbi and see the nomads tents where the nomads of the desert live and have a tea with a nomad family.

In the afternoon the camels caravan will be waiting to take you to the heart of the desert just in time to enjoy a majestic sunset and admire the color-changing sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will spend the night in a camp in the middle of the desert and have a taste of Berber Life. You will be settled in a nomad tent and welcomed with a traditional Moroccan mint tea and Berber dinner. After dinner, your nomad hosts will invite you to enjoy a session of Berbers drumming, singing and dancing around the camp fire, under the shining stars of the night in the Sahara Desert.

Day 3 : Merzouga (Desert) – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Valley of the Dades – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate

If there is something that no one can miss in this 4 day Fes to Marrakech private trip is enjoying a sunrise in the desert, so this day we will get up early (you can climb on to one of the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi). You will then ride the camels to the hostel for a quick shower and breakfast, before continuing our tour towards Ouarzazate, passing by Rissani, birthplace of Morocco’s ruling royal family and the age-old capital of the Tafilalt region, famous for its traditional Souk (market), the biggest in the south of Morocco.

There you will be able to visit the market of donkeys, goats and cows. We will then continue our tour until we reach the spectacular and dramatic Todra Gorges (the Todra river bed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty, the paradise of the climbers). We will stop to explore the canyons and have lunch. Our journey will also cover the Dades Valley, the Roses Valley and the Skoura Oasis, until we arrive to our destination: Ouarzazate. Accommodation and dinner in a charming Riad.

Day 4 : Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

In the last day of our 4 day Fes to Marrakech private trip, we will leave the riad in Ouarzazate and continue towards the village of Ait Benhaddou and visit the magnificent Kasbah (fortress) classified as UNESCO world heritage site since 1987 and famous film production location (Gladiator, Game of Thrones).

The guide will explain you the history of this magic place and will take you to the top of the hill to admire the beautiful views of the whole village. We will then start our journey back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’ Tichka pass (about 2260 meters altitude), stopping along the way to have lunch. We will arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon.
