Day 1 : Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Benhaddou – Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora (Desert)

well, This tour will start early in the morning by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Ticka pass (about 2260 meters altitude), through traditional Berber Villages, towards the village of Ait Benhaddou. We will visit the magnificent Kasbah (fortress) classified as UNESCO world heritage site since 1987 and famous film production location (Gladiator, Game of Thrones).

The guide will explain you the history of this magic place and will take you to the top of the hill to admire the beautiful views of the whole village. After lunch, we will continue our desert trip towards Zagora, passing through the Anti Atlas Mountains, the oasis of Agdz and the palm trees and Berber Villages of the Draa Valley.

We will arrive in Zagora late in the afternoon, where the camels caravan will be waiting to take you to the heart of the desert just in time to enjoy a majestic sunset, spend the night in a camp in the middle of the desert and have a taste of Berber Life.

You will be settled in a nomad tent and welcomed with a traditional Moroccan mint tea and Berber dinner. After dinner, your nomad hosts will invite you to join them around the camp fire to enjoy a session of traditional folk songs, dancing and laughing. The night in the desert has clear skies and you will be able to see countless stars.

Day 2 : Zagora (Desert) – Agdz – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

The second day of our 2-day Zagora desert tour from Marrakech will start with an early wake up before the sunrise to see the first lights of the day in the desert. After a traditional Berber breakfast in the desert camp, you will ride the camels back to Zagora to meet your driver and begin the return journey to Marrakech. We will take the road through the Draa Valley and Agdz and stop in Ouarzazate for lunch.

After lunch, we will visit the beautiful Kasbah of Taourirt (home of the former caïd and owned by T’hami El Glaoui), where people from the Atlas, Draa and Dades Valleys have traded and socialized for centuries. Early in the afternoon, we will drive you back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains and arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon.
